Its time for mamakats writing assignment again this week I choose prompt #2 Begin with “I wish someone told me…”
I wish someone told me ...
That taking Home EC in school was not even close to the day to day life of a wife & mother.
That all those hours of headaches and frustration I spent over my algebra homework that I just never got would end up serving no further purpose in my life except to torment my teenage years.
That missing my Prom was going to be a bigger deal than I thought it would be.
That by saying those two little words "I DO" would change everything and be the beginning of an adventure more exciting than anything I could have imagined.
That 2 pink lines would be the scariest and the happiest thing I've seen in my whole life.
That the emotions those 2 pink lines created were nothing compared to holding my child for the first time.
That sending my husband off to war would be a reality I would face in my life time.
That UH-OH coming out the mouth of a 3 year old is NEVER a good thing.
That 13 years later I'd be MORE in love with my husband.
That MOTHERHOOD not the Peace Corps is REALLY the toughest job you'll ever love.

Great list! Well done!
Wow. What a fabulous post. The comment about the "2 pink lines" made my eyes tear only because I wanted it so bad. I made my friend come over to make sure I wasn't imagining things!
What a great and insightful post. Thank you for sharing. And thanks for the paint support on the hutch! Ha! Ha!
Just out of curiousity...How do dou do your month/date thing at the top?? Do you take those pics yourself, everyday? or does it come from somewhere else?? I thinkit is super cool and just wondering where the coolness comes from.... :)
I love your list. It gave us more of a glimpse into who you really are..
That is lovely huh? Complete strangers peeking into who you really are...
Fantastic! This little list says so much about you!
I wish someone would've told me about the beer before liquor rule before I went to the new year's party in high school ...
That was a really awesome post. Every. Single. Word.
Uh Oh! Too funny!
Well written! And I agree with it all! Hadn't thought about the home ec part but umm yeah someone should go back and handle that situation!
We do use algebra missy! We just don't realize it!
Great post! And your blog is beautiful... Looking forward to reading more of your posts...
Thanks for stopping by "my place" during the SITS blogathon - wasn't that an amazing day? I'm still worn out! ;^)
Hope all is well with you and take care...

So this makes me tear up. I can relate to many of these things, too. My sister is in the Air Force and has done one tour of Iraq & is scheduled for another early next year. Apparently this next one will be more dangerous...I'm not looking forward to it; she doesn't know my son well enough. But I'm so proud of her, I'm sure you understand.
Thank you SO much for visiting my blog Thursday. Your blog looks like a place I could get cozy in.
Oh so true...I love this list. And sending your husband off to war. Sigh. You're a better woman than I...I just couldn't do it.
Although I suppose you don't get much of a choice.
Like always you hit the nail on the head. It is all so true. Loved it
